Since the beginning of 2026, solar and wind power plants have generated 2 billion kWh of electricity - 43% more than the same period last year

As we previously reported,Today, our country has 15 solar panels with a total capacity of 5,582 megawattsphotoelectric plant and5 windspower plantproduces "green" energy.

That being said,Since the beginning of 2026, as of March 20, 959.2 million kWh were produced by solar photoelectric power plants, and 1 billion 56.2 million kWh by wind power plants, totaling 2 billion 15.4 million kWh of electricity.

We remind you that on February 13the volume of electricity produced by solar and wind power plants since the beginning of 2026It was 1 billion kWh.

For reference:From the beginning of 2026the sunandthe windthe amount of electricity produced by power plants610.7 million kWh compared to the corresponding period of 2025or43% more electricity was produced.

As a result:

➖537 million cubic metersnatural gas savings were achieved;

➖ to the atmosphere1 million 158 thousand tonsrelease of excess harmful substances was prevented.

Moreover, from the beginning of this yearas of yesterday, March 20All in Uzbekistanhydroelectricstations andthe sunand3 billion 160 million kWh of electricity was produced by wind power plants.

As a result:

➖ 839 million cubic metersnatural gas savings were achieved;

➖ to the atmosphereMore than 1 million 808 thousand tonsrelease of harmful substances was prevented.
