In the Kungrad district, work on the construction of a large wind power plant with a capacity of 1.5 gigawatts and its connection to the unified power system is entering an active phase. The $2.6 billion project is being implemented jointly with the Saudi company «ACWA».

⚡️ As part of it, 1.5 thousand kilometers of high-voltage backbone power lines will be laid, three 500-kilovolt substations will be built, and two more will be modernized.

New energy projects will make it possible to increase Karakalpakstan’s energy capacity, develop the region’s infrastructure, attract investment, and create new jobs.
