Seven stations to generate heat and electricity will be built in Tashkent for $173 million

The khokim of the city, Shavkat Umurzakov, during a visit to the Bogzor mahalla of the Chilanzar district inspected the work of the recently launched energy substation. The event also included a discussion of plans to improve energy supply with the participation of Veolia Energy Tashkent.

The total capacity of the generators planned for construction will be 203 MW, and the heating systems - 182 Gcal. New energy facilities will be located in the territories of Uchtepa, Shaykhantakhur, Yunusabad, Mirzo-Ulugbek, Yashnabad, Mirabad and Sergeli districts.

The infrastructure of the initiative will require the construction of 66 km of electrical networks and 141 km of heating mains, as well as the installation of 613 separate heating points. The launch of the complexes will open 50 permanent jobs.

It is expected that annual production will be 1.6 billion kWh of electricity and 1.4 million Gcal of heat. The use of modern technologies will make it possible to save 107 million cubic meters of natural gas and 4.4 million tons of water resources, which in monetary terms is estimated at 220 billion soums.

The total investment will be $173 million. The corresponding agreement was signed in July of this year. Deliveries of technical equipment are scheduled for September.

The first facilities in the Yashnabad and Yangikhayot districts are planned to be put into operation by December, the completion of construction of the remaining stations is expected in the summer of 2027.
