A $390 million solar power plant was launched in Navoi region
In Nurata district of Navoi regionintroduceda 300 MW solar photovoltaic plant and a 150 MW energy storage system were commissioned.
The $390 million project was implemented jointly with the Chinese company China Energy Overseas Investment. 30 permanent jobs have been created at the facilities.
The station will annually generate 657 million kW per hour of green electricity. This volume is enough to supply about 273 thousand households for a year.
The launch of the complex will annually save 175 million cubic meters of natural gas and prevent the release of 377 thousand tons of harmful substances into the atmosphere.
Previouslyreportedthat on the eve of the 35th anniversary of independence, 163 industrial, service and social facilities with a total value of almost 50 trillion soums were launched in the regions of Uzbekistan. It is expected that their work will create 15 thousand jobs.
