Transformation for a secure energy future: a dynamic energy transition

The Energy Forum, which is a part of the programme of the Uzbekistan Energy Week, is a multi-component fuel and energy industry event, a critical platform for energy leaders to showcase progressive innovations and inspiring ideas that can enable a dynamic energy transition. The event will open with a Plenary Session and kick off two significant events: The 26th International Conference "Oil and Gas of Uzbekistan - OGU 2024" and the 4th International Energy Conference.
The conferences will last two days: 14-15 May at the International Hotel Tashkent, in the Amir Temur and Crystal Ballrooms.
The conferences will be attended by over 50 speakers and moderators, and over 1,200 delegates from 19 countries: Austria, Azerbaijan, China, Denmark, France, Georgia, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Netherlands, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Uzbekistan.
The Plenary Session, the main theme of which is "The Harmonisation of the Energy Policy in line with Uzbekistan's National Strategy", will initiate in-depth discussions by distinguished experts and industry leaders. The Plenary Session will be moderated by John Defterios, whose expertise in emerging markets and mass communications will make the discussions rich and insightful. His expert opinion, experience of hosting a programme on CNN Business and his role as Senior Strategic Advisor at APCO Worldwide promise to make the session not only informative but also engaging.
Some of the top speakers at the plenary session will be Zhurabek Mirzamakhmudov - The Minister of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sodik Safoyev - the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as senior staff of international organisations and companies, namely Uzbekneftegaz JSC, International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), Acwa Power, Masdar, Bureau Veritas, China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), SOCAR, OPEC, Honeywell, and Rosatom.
Over the course of two days, parallel panel and technical sessions, continuing the work of international conferences, will offer delegates assessments and opinions from leading experts, presentations and discussions on topical issues on the widest range of issues: investment attractiveness of energy projects, digital transformation, modernisation and diversification of energy systems, new areas of exploration and production of minerals, transformation of the oil and gas chemical complex, integration of renewable energy sources, and ESG basics of the sustainable development.
