This year's Forum is being held under the theme "New Energy: Innovation, Sustainability, Regional Cooperation". The Forum provides an effective platform for high-level dialogue and discussion of strategies for the implementation of advanced technologies and innovations, ensuring sustainable growth in the fuel and energy sector, advancing the energy transition, and supporting the further development of the industry through regional and international cooperation.
The high status of the Forum and the relevance of its agenda are confirmed by the participation of the Ministers of Energy of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Belarus, the Deputy Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan, Secretaries General and heads of international organisations, as well as senior representatives of energy agencies from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
The significance of the event is also reflected in the broad participation of sponsors and partners. In keeping with tradition, the Forum will be opened with a Plenary Session on "Integrating Efforts for a Sustainable Energy Architecture in the Region", which will define the strategic direction of further discussions and key areas of the business programme.
The session will bring together experts and representatives of partner countries to discuss the coordination of energy projects and infrastructure development. Particular attention will be given to resource diversification, risk mitigation and energy security. The participants will also reflect the mobilisation of sustainable investment and scaling of green markets as important drivers of a competitive green economy. Special focus will be placed on the integration of smart grids, energy storage systems and renewable energy sources in the development of next-generation energy infrastructure.
On the first day of the Forum, the strategic agenda will focus on key areas of energy sector development, ranging from traditional industry segments to new technological and institutional solutions. Discussions will address issues of hydrocarbon cooperation and the expansion of industrial collaboration, the digital transformation of the industry and the implementation of artificial intelligence-based solutions, as well as the integration of renewable energy into existing energy systems in order to create a more flexible and sustainable regional energy architecture.
Particular attention will be paid to improving environmental safety and modern approaches to sustainable energy sector development, including enhancement of regulatory and technological practices.
The first day's programme will conclude with an expert dialogue on internal control and development of anti-corruption mechanisms in the energy sector, which remain to be important elements in strengthening transparency and governance.
The second day of the Forum will also address a broad range of topical and strategically important issues. Strategic, expert and technical sessions scheduled throughout the day will cover modern nuclear energy development, prospecting and exploration of new deposits using geoanalytics and artificial intelligence, the role of women in the energy sector, optimisation of Uzbekistan's existing oil fields, modernisation of processing facilities for the production of next-generation fuels, latest solutions for oil and gas storage and logistics, as well as a dedicated technology session presented by its sponsor INTI Company.
The third and final day of the Forum will traditionally be dedicated to the youth energy platform "Youth Energy Section". The programme will include an open dialogue between the Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan and young participants, intellectual competitions, presentations of start-up projects, and meetings between senior executives of Uzbekistan's fuel and energy sector enterprises and young professionals, organised by Uzbekneftegaz JSC.
As part of Uzbekistan Energy Week and its related events, G2B and B2B meetings are also planned, aimed at strengthening business ties, developing practical cooperation between participants, and supporting the signing of agreements and memoranda on cooperation.
The Uzbekistan Energy Forum plays an important role in shaping sustainable development strategies, discussing prospects for international and regional cooperation, and promoting the implementation of innovative solutions through the exchange of expert opinions, professional dialogue and substantive discussion.
