Almost 2 GW of solar panels have been installed in Uzbekistan at 141 thousand facilities

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As of December 1, 2025, solar panels with a total capacity of 1,971 MW have been installed in Uzbekistan at 141,221 facilities throughout the republic. The Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan reports this.

Of these, 412.5 MW accounted for 21,346 social facilities, 1,087.5 MW - for 32,589 business facilities, 443.2 MW - for 84,964 residential sites and 30.2 MW - for 2,322 apartment buildings.

Over the eleven months of 2025, solar panels generated 1.869 billion kWh of electricity. This allowed saving 566 million cubic meters of natural gas and preventing the release of 466 thousand tons of harmful gases into the atmosphere.

The large-scale implementation of solar power plants confirms Uzbekistan’s active development of renewable energy and the transition to a more environmentally sustainable energy model.
