The head of the republic visited the innovative scientific and production pharmaceutical cluster "Tashkent Pharma Park".

TASHKENT, December 19 - Sputnik. It is better to use advanced programs in pharmaceuticals and train our own specialists than to pay foreigners and depend on them, said Shavkat Mirziyoyev during a visit to the innovative scientific and production pharmaceutical cluster "Tashkent Pharma Park". This was reported by the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.

The Pharmaceutical Technical University will become part of the cluster. It will have a pharmacopoeial center, a library, a sports complex, housing for teachers and foreign specialists. It will train highly qualified personnel in the areas of industrial pharmacy, biomedicine, biochemistry, biotechnology, biopharmaceuticals and pharmaceutical chemistry. For this purpose, training will be organized based on international programs, and laboratories of microbiology, biotechnology, cell biology, pharmacology and analytical chemistry will be opened. Graduates of the university will receive international diplomas from Yonsei University (South Korea), Sunderland and De Montfort (United Kingdom). In addition, scientific cooperation has been established with the universities of Dundee, Busan and Purdue.

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) - President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting on December 19 dedicated to the state of the gas production industry and measures to increase gas production in 2025.

The Chairman of the Uzbekneftegaz Joint-Stock Company presented a report on the results of work in 2024 and outlined priority tasks for the next year.

It was noted that in order to stabilize gas production volumes, work is underway to implement joint projects with foreign companies. It is planned to drill new wells and repair existing production wells using modern technologies.

The main problem of the industry is the long-term insufficient attention to geological exploration, which has led to the almost complete depletion of reserves at certain fields and the low efficiency of others. To eliminate this shortcoming, geological exploration will be launched at 15 promising sites, and the area of seismic exploration will be increased to 6.5 thousand square kilometers.

The President instructed to develop a program for the development of geology and the development of new fields for 2025 with the participation of large international companies and experts.

The transformation of Uzbekneftegaz JSC will continue. Among the key tasks are reducing the cost of production and increasing the company's international credit rating. In 2025, it is planned to attract international investment to finance geological exploration and production projects.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized the importance of staffing the industry. Instructions were given to improve the quality of training specialists, create conditions for the return of qualified compatriots working abroad, and attract foreign experts.

These measures are aimed at ensuring the sustainable development of the gas industry and increasing its contribution to the economy of Uzbekistan.
