Uzbekistan, China and CA countries are discussing the project of the Unified Energy System - Deputy Minister of Energy
Uzbekistan began calculations for the construction of cross -border power lines to China through Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. According to the Deputy Minister of Energy, Umid Mamadaminov, the project is aimed at combining the region’s energy systems and energy exchange depending on seasonal fluctuations.
Uzbekistan advocates the unification of the energy systems of the countries of Central Asia and China. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Energy Umid Mamadaminov in an interview with the Uzbekistan 24 television channel, the newspaper drew attention.
At the second Summit “Central Asia - China” in Astana on June 17, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev proposed to study the issue of conjugation of energy systems, including the implementation of a megaproject of the construction of a high -voltage power line.
“At this summit, one of the most relevant topics was infrastructure and energy. The head of our state especially raised the issue of creating a [energy] corridor connecting China to the states of Central Asia. This is a very important question for both of us and China, ”said Umid Mamadaminov.
According to him, Uzbekistan has already begun calculations for the construction of cross -border power lines of high voltage through the territory of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan in the direction of China. Earlier, the republic launched a similar project of the Green Energy Cororidore towards Europe through Azerbaijan.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, according to the deputy minister, emphasized the importance of combining the energy systems of Central Asia and China and the creation of a single infrastructure.
“This is a very large -scale project. Electricity produced in Central Asia countries can partially satisfy the growing demand in China, ”Mamadaminov said.
He also indicated the potential of bilateral energy exchange depending on seasonal fluctuations: “In winter, when there is not enough gas, we could import energy from China when he has excess.”
Within the framework of the summit, a special energy forum Power Central Asia + China was also organized, where modern technologies were discussed, including Smart Grid and high -voltage DC lines.
“We are talking about the construction of power lines of direct current of high voltage and the introduction of the Smart Grid in the energy system. Chinese experience was also considered to modernize networks, ”the deputy minister said.
According to the results of the discussions, the parties reached an agreement on joint work on the integration of renewable energy sources, increasing the stability of energy systems and creating a reliable management system.
In 2024, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan signed a memorandum and a protocol on the project of the Green Energy Cororidore. Azerbaijan intends to lay a cable along the bottom of the Black Sea to connect the Central Asia, Caucasus, Europe, Caspian and Black Seas a single energy -cororiner. The operators of the main electric networks of the countries have created a joint venture for the implementation of the project.
Recall that since 2030, Uzbekistan plans to export the excess green electricity generated in the country to Europe.
