Uzbekistan and China agreed to build hydro -accumulating stations and new power lines

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (Uzdaily.uz) - Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan Zhurabek Mirzamamamamamymudov, in an interview with O’zbekiston 24, spoke about the results of discussions of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) on joint work in the energy sector, the implementation of investment projects and increasing the interdependence of regional energy systems.

According to him, China remains the largest investment and technological partner of Uzbekistan in the energy sector. “Not only investments come from China, but almost all key technological equipment, since this country has the most modern technologies in this field,” the minister said.

The parties have reached agreements on the construction of hydro -accumulating power plants (GAES) in Uzbekistan, as well as the long -term implementation of projects for laying and commissioning new power lines.

To stabilize the power supply of the capital from China, mobile mobile substations will be delivered, which are planned to be used during the repair of stationary facilities.

Separate attention is paid to the training of personnel together with the China Datang Corporation: Uzbek experts will undergo training and advanced training in the field of renewable energy.
